A Confirmation Ceremony was held during Shabbat services on Saturday morning. Daniel Gushin and Eddie Bassin were honored for continuing their Jewish education by attending Mercaz, the Conservative Jewish High School, and participating in several educational classes with Rabbi Barnard.
Daniel Gushin led the Torah Service and later spoke about Kashrut. Eddie Bassin led Musaf and spoke about Tikkun Olam and volunteering in the Over-the-Rhine Soup Kitchen. After the service, the congregation enjoyed a deluxe kiddush sponsored by the Bassin and Gushin families.
