Kehilla School for Creative Jewish Education

Kehilla class on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011

Northern Hills Synagogue and Congregation Ohav Shalom have combined to form a joint religious school, the Kehilla School for Creative Jewish Education. The new website can be found at www.kehilla-cincy.com. "Kehilla" means community in Hebrew.

The Kehilla School currently serves about 50 children, pre-K through Grade 7. Classes are Sunday morning and Wednesday afternoons. The school will alternate locations: in the first semester, beginning Sept. 12, students will learn a tNorthern Hills Synagogue (5714 Fields Ertel Road) on Sundays and at Ohav Shalom (8100 Cornell Road) on Wednesdays. For the second semester, in late January, the locations will switch.

The school is also open to families that are unaffiliated with a synagogue. Students learn about the Torah, holidays, Israel, life-cycle events, history, prayers and Hebrew.

Tuition is $375 a year for kindergarten through second grade, $700 a year for older
