Northern Hills Synagogue has its own religious school, the Spark School for Experiential Jewish Learning, a school that involves, inspires and ignites! Your child is part of more than 4,000 years of Jewish history. Let us help light the spark so that you can keep the flame burning.

The School is open to both Northern Hills members and families that are unaffiliated with any synagogue. The School website is at

Students will learn about the Torah, holidays, Israel, life-cycle events, history, prayers and Hebrew through an engaging curriculum that combines learning with fun.

Students will get meaningful insights into Jewish values, customs and traditions and experience the richness of Shabbat and other Jewish holidays all throughout the year.

They’ll learn to read and understand prayers in Hebrew, gain a connection to their past through the history of the Jewish People and a develop an important link to the Land of Israel.


Grades K-7: Sundays 9am – 12:30pm

Grades 3-7: Wednesdays 4:30pm – 6:30pm

Special Spark School Program Schedule
All grades (pre-K – 7): special Shabbat and holiday programs; all children and their families are welcome.

Sparklers Program for Pre-schoolers
Sparklers free program for preschoolers and their families: one Sunday a month
