A Taste of Purim
At Borders in Mason

February 21, 2010

This was the third in our series of "Taste of the Holidays" at Borders in Mason, OH. We setup in the Children's Section, where we had a table for arts and crafts and hamantaschen tasting. We made our own groggers (noisemakers) and distributed materials on the story of Purim and hamantaschen recipes.

Yummy Hamantaschen: triangular cookies filled with fruit, poppy seeds or chocolate. Hamantaschen traditionally symbolize either the evil Haman's hat or ears.

Arts and crafts.

It is traditional to wear a costume to celebrate Purim.
